FIFA and UEFA have already used us with a fresh launch of a football ball with the occasion of a final tournament. Keeping the tradition FIFA have unveiled a few weeks ago the officiall ball for the World Cup 2010, hosted by South Africa.

Adidas is the manufacturer of the World Cup 2010 official tournament ball. The official presentation was made in December 2009, during the group stage draw for the South African tournament.

You can have a first glance at the ball in the picture provided within this article. The ball is mainly white and has a pattern of triangles printed on it. The triangles are colored with black and orange insertions.

More, the ball has the official World Cup 2010 logo and the Adidas logo printed on it. Personally I find the World Cup 2006 ball at least better looking, compared to this new one. The football manufactured for the German World Cup was also signed by Adidias, but its designed was a lot more appreciated.

‘Jabulani’ is the name of the new ball, translated ‘to celebrate’ and Adidas claims that it suits both striker as well as goalkeepers. The flight path is still an unpredictable one, but a special technique used in manufacturing the ball ensures that Jabulani provides extreme grip in all weather conditions.

Let’s wait and see!
